We are indebted to JM Pettigrew for providing the historical facts below and for permitting his artwork to be reproduced here.

First we look at the Gardiner side, then at the Milles. Rose Gardiner married Jeremiah Milles.

	b. 7 June 1782, d. 21 Nov 1865 Rowland Alston sold Pishobury House to Mr Ede a turkey Merchant in 1847	\|	b. 24 May 1782, d. 19 Feb 1824 An incorrectly painted hatchment for Rose Alston is in Gt St Mary's Church.
A brass to Rowland and Rose Alston was erected by two surviving children sir Francis Alston KCMS & Caroline Cass, in the South aisle of the church		\| \|
Rowland and Rose had six children, (Rowland Gardiner Alston, William Vere Alston, Francis Alston, Rose Alston, Harriet Alston, Caroline Alston m.Major C H Case). Francis and Caroline are featured on brasses in the church.
